The Internet Channel

The Internet Channel is one of the free-of-charge downloadable Wii Channels from the Wii Shop Channel. As the title suggests, the Internet Channel is used for browsing the Internet. The Internet Channel was initially free, but since June 30, 2007, users had to pay 500 Wii Points to download the Internet Channel.

In August 2009, Nintendo made the Internet Channel free once again. All users who had already downloaded the channel for 500 Wii Points were offered a free Nintendo Entertainment System game from the Virtual Console, starting October 2009.
