Nintendo Wiki is a wiki that covers anything Nintendo-related, including their games, their products, and their employees. It was founded on June 2, 2021 by MauroPerin15, who only made a few edits to the Main Page. Ever since, the wiki remained dormant, and was about to close from inactivity.

On November 24, 2021, Eeyore the Iowan Goat adopted Nintendo Wiki. Using his experience from creating a video game developer wiki in early 2019, Rare Wiki, RMV2003 aims to apply a similar format to Nintendo Wiki, albeit with a broadened scope, similar to the Nintendo Wiki on Fandom.

For the second half of 2023, the Nintendo Wiki was closed. In January 2024, the wiki had been reopened, following a reopening request on Meta.

Nintendo Wiki went through various custom domains over the years, due to a lack of options. Its first custom domain was thenintendowiki.org, then thenintendowiki.com, and, as of February 16, 2024, nintendowiki.wiki (a nod to Zelda Wiki's domain, zeldawiki.wiki).
