- Hi, I'm Doug, a global, community-elected Miraheze Steward, requested here by RMV2003 to assess this local election request in absence of the local bureaucrat, MauroPerin15. Having looked through the usual places, such as

namespaces, on this wiki to see if there are any local policies outlining how and under conditions permissions elections and/or removals may take place, or any local policies that would otherwise rule this permission request procedurally out of order/invalid. Seeing none, we use globally accepted conventions, customs, and best practices, developed through a combination of precedent and judgment, which, among other things, typically call for elections to have been open for at least five to seven calendar days. Ideally the requesting user would already have been a constructive contributing community member; however, in practice, this is not always the case, and is indeed the case here. Looking at MauroPerin15's local contributions on this wiki, including log actions, it looks the user made three edits to the Main Page then seemingly abandoned or otherwise lost interest the wiki. The candidate, RMV2003, has already made more edits than MauroPerin15; however, admittedly, they are quite minor. Other than the implied support of the candidate, there was one participant, DarkMatterMan4500, who isn't really a local community member, at least as of yet, as they're more of an unofficial volunteer community member of the Counter Vandalism Team. Nevertheless, with no opposition after more than a week and unanimous support for the candidate, there is consensus here for RMV2003 to be granted thebureaucrat

permissions, albeit somewhat weak in the sense of the low participation by new contributors to this week. (It should also be noted, though, that this wiki has only has three contributors, and a fourth as of the posting of this close.) Mainly, though, this is effectively an abandoned wiki, so I'm satisfied RMV2003 intends to finally build out this abandoned, derelict, and undeveloped "raw land" wiki (to use a development analogy). Thus, this is done. As a reminder, all permissions elections and removals should be done after there is consensus from the community. If you need assistance in interpreting consensus for a discussion, Stewards may be engaged by local bureaucrats to perform this function on their request, or if they are otherwise inactive on the wiki. Finally, to help ensure communities are run according to consensus, as a strongly recommended best practice, it's recommended that you retain the ability for bureaucrats to be removed by only Stewards, as seen in the default permissions forbureaucrat

This is RMV2003 running a request for bureaucrat rights. A couple of weeks ago, I joined mario.miraheze.org and came up with the idea of the Miraheze community having their own community of Nintendo-related wikis (it unintentionally sounds like NIWA but it would be for the Miraheze community). Me and the founder of mario.miraheze.org noticed that this wiki has been inactive since June (with no content pages created), and we thought it would be nice if it could become an affiliate to mario.miraheze.org, especially if considering the potential for more Nintendo-related wikis on Miraheze. I've reached out to this wiki's founder as well for comment. RMV2003 (talk) 14:54, 16 November 2021 (UTC)
