Fanged Fish are first encountered on the 1st floor of Etrian Odyssey III: The Drowned City as well as Etrian Odyssey Nexus.

Fanged Fish are red fish that are very weak by themselves, but can be quite dangerous when you encounter a group/school led by one or more Devilfish. Together, they will use the powerful Ferocious Fish attack which deals moderate damage to multiple targets. Other than that, they can use Sharp Fang, a skill that just does more damage than a normal attack.

Try to take the Fanged Fish down as soon as the battle starts; this will nullify Ferocious Fish.
