The Fish's appearance in Super Smash Bros. Brawl

The Fish is a monstrous sea creature that originates from the game Balloon Fight. It has also appeared in various WarioWare titles and the Super Smash Bros. series.

History

WarioWare series

In WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!, it appears in the microgame Balloon Fight. The Fish is seen again WarioWare: Smooth Moves in another microgame called Balloon Fight, and in the unlockable minigame Balloon Trip, a 3D re-imagination of Balloon Fight. In all appearances, the Fish has the same role that it did in the original: jumping out of the water to try and eat the Balloon Fighter.

Super Smash Bros. series

In the Super Smash Bros. series, the Fish appears in the Summit stage of both Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Despite this, Summit is an Ice Climber stage, not a Balloon Fight one. This is the second time in the series when Balloon Fight has had a connection to Ice Climber, the first time being in Super Smash Bros. Melee where the Balloon Fight theme would sometimes play on Icicle Mountain.

When the tip of the iceberg falls into the ocean, the Fish will sometimes jump out and attempt to eat the fighters. If the Fish successfully eats someone, it swims to the bottom of the ocean, KO'ing the victim. The fish's tail also causes damage. The Fish returns in the 3DS/Wii U instalment, as a stage hazard but in a presumbaly 8-bit caricature.
