PopCap Games, known as PopCap for short, is an American video game company based in Seattle, Washington. It was founded in 2000 by John Vechey, Brian Fiete and Jason Kapalka. PopCap is best known for creating the Bejeweled series and the Plants vs. Zombies series. In July 2011, Electronic Arts acquired the entirety of PopCap Games, who has since been a subsidiary of the company. Of all systems that PopCap Games has developed games for, Nintendo ones are the least common.
