A Spiked Thwomp is a variant of Thwomp
Spiked Thwomps are only found in Angler's Tunnel and Catfish's Maw. They have the same behavior as regular Thwomps from the Super Mario series, waiting on the ceiling, and slamming down with a sinister grin when Link gets near in an attempt to squish Link. Unlike regular Thwomps, however, Spiked Thwomps do not return to the ceiling until Link moves away from it. Spiked Thwomps are indestructible in this game and cannot be defeated.
