A Super Multitap

The Super Multitap is a Super Nintendo Entertainment System accessory which was manufactured and sold by Hudson Soft in 1993 especially for Super Bomberman and its sequels. It is an adapter which plugs into a Super Nintendo's second controller port, and the Super Multitap has four ports, with three additional ones allowing for a total of 3–5 players to play, depending on the game. The Super Multitap has a switch for 2P mode and 3-5P mode so that it can remain plugged into the console without affecting incompatible games. The Super Multitap is mostly compatible with sports games.

Hudson Soft also released a successor, the Super Multitap 2, which is shaped like Bomberman's head, and it was only ever released in Japan.
