The Nintendo World 2006, which began on November 3, 2006, was a showcase sponsored by Nintendo. It was created primarily to present the capabilities and game lineup of the Wii to the Japanese public in anticipation of its December 3 release date in the nation. Among others, it showcased updates for Super Smash Bros. Brawl, such the inclusion of Fox McCloud.

In addition to its coverage and public exposition of the Wii, the Nintendo World 2006 also featured the Nintendo DS and put a focus on its connectivity with the console.

The event started in Nagoya, where it stayed until November 10, after which made its way to Osaka, and on November 24 arrived in Tokyo.[1]
