The '''''Donkey Kong Country Competition Cartridge''''' is a variant of ''[[Donkey Kong Country (game)|Donkey Kong Country]]'' that was specifically made for use at [[Nintendo PowerFest '94]] and later the Blockbuster Video World Video Game Championship II event in [[1995]]. It is very rare, and only 2,500 copies have ever been produced. The cartridge label's appearance is nearly the same as that of a retail ''Donkey Kong Country'' cartridge, but can be distinguished from the top-right having orange coloring with the words "Competition Cartridge" on it.
Many finalists in Nintendo's PowerFest tournament were given the cartridge. The carts used in the Blockbuster Video tournament were sold to ''[[Nintendo Power]]'' subscribers through the [[Nintendo Power Super Power Supplies Catalog]] in a plastic case labeled with the Blockbuster championship logo and some game artwork.
